Research Interests

Overall, the research area in our lab includes genetics, hematology and oncology.

Specifically, we are interested in:

  1. discovering novel molecular mechanisms of anti-cancer drug resistance regulated by heat shock proteins, 
  2. studying the functions of Del(5q) myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) candidate genes in regulating the development of human hematopoietic stem cells, and
  3. exploring the genetic mechanisms of MDS and leukemia development utilizing patient samples and mouse models.
