E 29-2. Policy

Hooding at the graduation ceremony is performed by the appropriate associate deans.  They may be assisted by members of the graduate’s immediate family who have earned a doctoral degree, or by WVSOM faculty and staff who have earned a doctoral degree.  Any other individual who has earned a doctoral degree may be allowed to assist in hooding upon written approval of the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean at least two weeks in advance of the graduation ceremony.
