Third Year Timeline

June

  • GME Department sends out ERAS Tokens.
  • Register ERAS Token at MYERAS®.
  • Revise and update CV.
  • Begin collecting 3 general letters of recommendation (throughout 3rd year).

September-October

  • GME Education Day on ERAS (overview)& Letters of Recommendation

October 

  • Schedule appointment with your GME Career Advisor 

December-January

  • GME Education Day on Rotation Application Systems (ex. VSLO)
  • VSLO access sent by GME office on Education Day.
  • Register VSLO even if you think you will not use it. The invitation expires in 28 days There is not a charge until you send an application.
  • Military students contact GME Technical Manager.

January

  • VSLO uploads the first wave of elective catalogs.
  • Start to apply for elective rotations through VSLO.
  • Begin setting up career advising sessions with GME office.

February

  • Transcripts are uploaded to VSLO as a student applies.

March

  • VSLO uploads the second wave of elective catalogs.

April-May
