June
- GME Department sends out ERAS Tokens.
- Register ERAS Token at MYERAS®.
- Revise and update CV.
- Begin collecting 3 general letters of recommendation (throughout 3rd year).
September-October
- GME Education Day on ERAS (overview)& Letters of Recommendation
October

Schedule appointment with your GME Career Advisor
December-January
- GME Education Day on Rotation Application Systems (ex. VSLO)
- VSLO access sent by GME office on Education Day.
- Register VSLO even if you think you will not use it. The invitation expires in 28 days There is not a charge until you send an application.
- Military students contact GME Technical Manager.
January
- VSLO uploads the first wave of elective catalogs.
- Start to apply for elective rotations through VSLO.
- Begin setting up career advising sessions with GME office.
February
- Transcripts are uploaded to VSLO as a student applies.
March
- VSLO uploads the second wave of elective catalogs.
April-May
- GME Education Day on ERAS (detailed).
- Search for residency programs & make a list.
June
- MYERAS®. fully opens the first Wednesday of the month.
- Register for early match programs (e.g., San Francisco Match), Military Match, and American Urology Association, if applicable.
- Submit your MSPE request form.
