• MyERAS® opens to all applicants to begin entering residency application information First Monday of the month.
• ERAS Application Process for WVSOM
• Register for early match programs (e.g., San Francisco Match), if applicable
• Send Assistant Dean of GME your CV to review
• Military Students contact GME Program Coordinator
• Start using Big Interview Medical

July

• Deadline to request MSPE form office of Academic Dean

August

• Supplemental application access is granted

September

• Start applying to residency programs through ERAS on September 7
• Supplemental Application Deadline- September 16, 2022
• Registration for the National Resident Matching Program® (NRMP®) Main Residency Match® opens on September 15
• Check your email daily for interview invitations and schedule interviews quickly
• Start preparing for residency interviews
• Schedule a mock interview with an advisor or practice interviewing with frequently asked questions
• Transcripts & MSPEs are uploaded to ERAS the last week of September

October

• Residency programs (ACGME) start receiving applications through ERAS on September 28
• MSPEs are released to all programs in ERAS on September 28
• Monitor the number of interview invitations you receive. If you've been offered fewer than 10 interviews by mid-to late October, contact your advisor or student affairs office to discuss your options
• Go to residency interviews
• October 14, the deadline for documentation to be sent to the Military for the Military Match

November

• Continue your residency interviews
• Evaluate and compare residency programs by completing the Residency Preference Exercise & Prism app 

December

• Military match
• Meet with your advisor to discuss how to rank your programs

January

• Early registration for the NRMP Residency Match closes on January 30 (Late fee added)
• San Francisco match results are available
• Urology residency match results are available
  • Enter your rank order list for the early match by the January deadline.
  • Results will be available in mid-January

February

• Rank Order List opens for the NRMP Match Feb 1

March

• Finalize and enter your rank order list for the Main Residency Match, March 1, 2023 deadline
• Log in to the NRMP’s R3 system on Monday of Match Week (March 13, 2023) to see whether you matched to a program
• If you didn’t match, you may be eligible to enter the Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP). 
• March 17, 2023, NRMP Match results

April-June

• Sign the contract with your residency program
• Graduate and prepare to begin residency
• ERAS season ends on May 31. It is recommended for you to save your application and CV for your records before the ERAS season ends
• Start preparing to move
