Continued Support After Graduation

Your association with and support from WVSOM does not end after graduation. The goal of the Office of Alumni Relations and Continuing Medical Education is to keep graduates actively involved with WVSOM by providing tools and resources that allow our alumni to stay connected to their institution and their fellow classmates.

We encourage our alumni to stay involved – join the Alumni Association, register for an upcoming Continuing Medical Education event, become a mentor, locate an old classmate, attend the next Alumni Weekend celebration or learn about physician placement opportunities.

Our Office is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association as an approved sponsor of AOA-CME category 1-A programs, WVSOM develops continuing medical education programs on a regular basis. CME programs bring seminars, speakers, medical literature and “hands-on” training to WVSOM graduates and other osteopathic physicians.

The Office of Alumni Relations takes great pride in our graduates. Our grads are the ones doing the real work in our nation’s hospitals, clinics and private practices. It’s our grads who choose to practice in areas of our country that need doctors the most and work in the primary care fields so important to our nation’s health care system. The quality of care WVSOM graduates deliver to the state and nation reflects positively on this institution.
