Logan Regional Medical Center (LRMC) is a 132 bed facility serving the residents of Logan, Lincoln, Boone, and Mingo counties in southern West Virginia. It is located one hour south of Charleston in the southern West Virginia coal fields. The hospital represents a broad range of care, from mining injuries to nursing homes.

Services provided at LRMC include Family Practice, Cardiology, Pulmonary Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urology, Radiology, Neurology, Physical Therapy, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Oncology, Allergy and Immune Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. A staff of about 50 generalists and specialists serve the hospital and its extended area.

The hospital has a 14 bed Pediatric Unit, a 7 bed Emergency Department, a pharmacy and an Endoscopic Unit. Radiology includes angiography, MRI, nuclear medicine and CT scanning. The Cardiology Department includes echocardiography and ambulatory monitoring. Electroencephalography and electromyography are also available.

A three floor Medical Office Building adjacent to the Emergency Department houses the various specialists in the hospital based group practice. These include Orthopedics, Pulmonary Medicine, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology. The active emergency room and adjacent family practice clinic office both contribute to a high number of patient encounters and procedures. Since the clinic is on site and offers longitudinal care, it integrates well with an in-hospital practice. Clinic physicians generally admit their own patients, manage and discharge directly back to the clinic.
