  • Early American Manual Therapy - Links to early osteopathic and manual medicine texts and graphics
  • Google Books - Free full text osteopathic books can be found by using the "Advanced Book Search" option/Full view only search option, and using a search term variant of osteopathic (ex: osteopathy, osteopathic).

  • DermAtlas - Dermatology Image Atlas, with over 11,000 images contributed by medical professionals worldwide. Includes Advanced Searching, Differential Diagnosis tools, CME/Quiz pages, and links to additional dermatology sites.
  • eMedicine - Point-of-care medical reference, with regularly updated evidence-based content provided by physicians and health care providers. Contains over 28,000 multimedia files.
  • Family Medicine Digital Resources Library - Digital library of family medicine educational resource materials.
  • HEAL (Health Education Assets Library) - Digital library with freely accessible digital teaching resources for the health sciences.
  • MMWR - Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report from the CDC. Includes MMWR as well as Recommendations and Reports, Surveillance Summaries, and links to state health statistics and departments.
  • NOVEL: The Neuro-Ophthalmology Virtual Education Library - Open access digital neuro-ophthalmology portal.
  • TOXMAP: Environmental Health e-Maps - A geographic information system from the Division of Specialized Information Services of NIH/NLM that uses maps of the United States to help users visually explore data from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)'s Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) and Superfund Program; includes TRI Facilities Maps, TRI Chemical Releases Maps, TRI Chemical Trends Maps, Superfund Maps, TOXNET Search Maps, and Combination Maps, which can be overlaid with demographic data to assist in determining the effects of chemicals on living organisms.
  • WISER (Wireless Information System for First Responders) - Developed by the National Library of Medicine for assisting first responders in hazardous material incidents, offers a wide range of information on hazardous substances. Free download to your palm, desktop, or mobile device allows for mobile access and provides critical information on-demand when every minute counts.

  • Agricola - USDA National Agricultural Library; covers agricultural information ranging from animals and livestock to agricultural history and art, to research and technology and marketing and trade.
  • DIRLINE - Directory of health and biomedical organizations and resources; compiled by the National Library of Medicine.
  • Health Hotlines - Derived from the National Library of Medicine's Directory of Information Resources, this database contains descriptions of over 14,000 biomedical information resources and their corresponding toll-free numbers to help the public locate health-related information.
  • Household Products Database - Health & safety information on household products; developed and maintained by the US Dept. of Health & Human Services and NIH/NLM.
  • MedlinePlus - Health information for patients, family, and friends; covers topics such as conditions, diseases, and wellness, hospitals and physicians, drug information, and current health news. Includes also a link to NIH Medline Plus Magazine.
  • Merck Manuals: Online Medical Library - Based on the widely-used Merck Manual, written in everyday language for the patient and consumer, this site provides free access to manuals that explain disorders, symptoms, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions throughout the life-span.
