The January 2004 AHEC Team developed a website entitled West Virginia Health with the goal of providing continuing information and health education resources to the residents of the local community, region, and the state with accurate, easy to read information about health related topics important to them. Team participants had agreed to research medical and health education topics that are of special concern to the geographical area and in accordance with influencing the Healthy People 2010 Focus area: Immunization and Infectious Disease.

The website also covers topic areas of emergency preparedness, medical myths, preventive medicine, and links to the CDC, WV Dept. of Health & Human Resources, resource hotline telephone numbers for domestic violence, child, and adult abuse, the poison control, and alcoholics anonymous, and other health information resources.

In addition, the AHEC team participants and other WV RHEP students, participated in a tabletop drill exercise in coordination and cooperation with the Greenbrier Health Department, Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, and the Medical Alliance for Emergency Preparedness for one of the interdisciplinary sessions focusing on emergency preparedness.
